Mosaic Makers created a mural for the outside of the Jewish Museum of Maryland.
This beautiful mural was constructed by adults with disabilities at St. Peter’s Adult Learning Center, a wonderful organization in W. Baltimore that supports employment for participants.
We worked with youth from the Parks & People’s Branches program to create a mural at Mondawmin Mall, on the corner of Reisterstown Road and Liberty Heights Avenue.
We worked with Girl Scouts to create mosaics in a park the Reservoir Hill neighborhood.
Community created an indoor mural for this recreation center serving at-risk youth.
Children mosaiced miniature row houses that became catalysts in a discussion of how to respect their community and make it a better place to live. The row houses were placed in their outside reading garden to attract the kids to use the green space.
Worked with passersby during a street vigil to memorialize the people murdered in Baltimore City in 2011. Staff members encouraged participants to visit a concurrent open house at the agency explaining how mediation works.
UMMS’ Violence Prevention Program aims to prevent violent personal injury among Baltimore City’s most at-risk populations by engaging them while in recovery at Shock Trauma and then providing individual and group support to develop a different lifestyle.
